Pacific Tek Power Vacuums
The Pacific Tek Power Vacuums (Vacuum Excavators) were originally designed to work with valve operators for valve box and catch basin clean out. Since that time potholing, or day-lighting, has been a popular method of non-destructively finding utilities & pipelines. Other popular terms are soft digging or vacuum excavation where water and air has been used under low pressure to upset or aid in digging to loosen dirt so it can be sucked into the vacuum excavator’s container.
These units are offered as a skid mount which can then be bolted on to a flat bed or trailer. Pacific Tek offers 9 basic tank sizes with over 100 different configurations & options depending on your needs. The larger tanks have a reverse flow option where, at the flip of a lever, flow can be reversed in the system. This feature allows you to pump liquid or slurry out of the tank to a higher place or can be used to free up clogging in the pickup hose by having air blow out of the hose.
Don’t let it’s compact size fool you. This skid mounted unit has all of the power of larger vacuum excavator units but in only half the space of the PV-100 and PV-150 vacuum excavators. Features include a 66 Gallon Angled Debris Tank for clean and easy dumping, full 3 in. Pickup Hose / Tube for maximum performance, 14 HP / 325 CFM Electric-Start PD Blower, and easy mounting options for truck beds or trailers with a total dry weight of 780 lbs.
A small step-up from the PV-66, the PV-100 offers the same angled debris tank for easy dumping and cleaning with an over-sized Acoustical / Baffled Blower Silencer for quieter running. Features include a 20 HP / 325 CFM Electric-Start PD Blower, full 3 in. Pickup Hose for maximum performance, and a non-conductive 3 in. Pickup Tube with swiveling handles included. This model’s debris tank helps to distribute load weight evenly over the entire unit length for easier emptying with a 100 gallon capacity and a “Zero Leak” 6-Lug Hatch.
The PV-150 is a great Power Vac unit with it’s compact system which can be easily mounted in a full-sized pickup truck / trailer to work in tight places or even off road. Installation is as simple as 1, 2, 3, as the PV-150 can turn any one-ton pickup into a vacuum truck. Features include a 20 HP / 325 CFM Vacuum System, 4 in. Pickup Hose, Centri-Clean Filtration, and a 150 Gallon Tank Capacity. Combination Jet / Vacuum Wands and hand-held Jetting Wands come furnished with this complete digging package.
Same as the PV-150, the PV-220 Vacuum Excavator unit is easy to mount on any standard pickup truck or trailer but provides more power needed for those heavier applications. This skid-built unit allows for quick remounting on truck beds and in addition is offered with a custom “V-Tailed” Trailer. Features include 25 HP / 525 CFM / 15 in. Vacuum Drive System, 220 Gallon Tank Capacity, “Zero-Leak” Dump Hatch, a 2.4 GPM @ 3,000 PSI Waster Jet System w/ a 100 Gallon Tank, a 5.5 HP Water Jet Cutting / Cleaning System with 3,000 PSI for the Hose Reel, Pressure Hose, and Trigger in addition to an optional 75 CFM @ 100 PSI Air Compressor.
The PV-250 is a great model for those looking for a powerful unit and versatile options in one package. With a full-opening rear door, this unit comes as either a Mechanical Lift or the Hydraulic “One-Step” Hatch for easy debris removal. Compact in size for mounting on trailers or across 8 ft. flat bed trucks, this unit has a protective 2-part Hi-Buildup Epoxy Powder Finish with a Urethane Top Coat. Features include a 25 HP / 525 CFM / 15 in. Vacuum Drive System, 3 or 4 in. Pickup Hose with movable Swivel Handles, and a 1-piece Multi-Stage Washable Filter with “Centri-Clean” Filtration.

It can pick up mud, water, rocks, and other solids up to 4 in. in diameter from as far down as 25 ft.
